Lunga Vita – Parmigiano Reggiano PDO (matured for over 28 months)


The Lunga Vita Parmigiano Reggiano is made using traditional methods and only milk from our cows. It matures naturally for a minimum of 28 months to over 48 months. This special cheese won a gold medal at the World Cheese Awards.

Its main characteristic? It is easily digestible and extremely high in proteins, vitamins and mineral salts, which makes it particularly suitable for babies and young children as well as for the elderly and those who practice sporting activities at all levels.

This intensely straw-coloured cheese has a stronger flavour compared with the less mature ones. It has hints of milk, butter, cooked vegetables, aromatic herbs as well as spicy toasty notes. It is an ideal accompaniment to dried fruit, aromatic honeys, fig or onion jams, pears and walnuts. It is excellent grated on first courses or stuffed pastas, typical of our great culinary tradition, accompanied by full-bodied red wines or Pale Ale-style beers.
